Jenny and Will were a phenomenal couple to work with. They came to me with the request of “amazing invitations that will surely gather friends from around the world to finally visit us in Minneapolis.”
The invitations needed to blend their cosmopolitan style, two different heritages and cultures, and their mutual love for living on the waterfront. Iconic imagery set the stage with a Yin-Yang/water drop pattern, “Double Happiness” Chinese character, the city skyline, and quotes from Shakespeare that included the word “love.” Their wedding reception was held at the Guthrie Theater in the historic Mill District of Minneapolis – right on the Mississippi River.
A tri-fold Letterpress save the date began the story of their wedding day and was followed up by a Letterpress booklet invitation touting French folded pages. The printing and binding was done by local Minneapolis artisans.
To top it all off, Jenny and Will commissioned Paperista for Letterpress EVERYTHING for wedding day stationery including, folded programs, menus, place cards, table signs, escort cards and more. The tables looked spectacular. When I saw Will the day before to drop off calligraphed pieces, he said a guy friend from business school said, “The invitations, dude, those were kick-axx….I’m definitely coming.”
